Hooked Battery Up Backwards Boat

I recently took my 1995 ford escort wagon 150 000 miles to a well known chain to have the battery replaced.
Hooked battery up backwards boat. Taking it back they confirmed that the alternator was dead and. I had a tech come out and test and he said that i need a new ecm. When the main fuse was replaced and i was driving off i noticed that the charging light was on and the radio clock was not working. Tried to reset 50 answered by a verified marine mechanic.
The problems is the main 90 amp fuse is blown. I am going to replace the starter and the alt as they are stock and needed replaced anyway. When they put installed the battery they hooked it up backwards and blew the main fuse. I fried the alternator which i replaced but now the engine cranks but the injectors do not spray fuel and the engine does not start.
This fuse is mounted to the engines starter solenoid. I have not hooked the batt back up yet with fears that i messed something up. I hooked up my battery backwards on my 1998 mastercraft sportstar. This doesn t add up to me.
I was in a hurry winterizing my 1995 regal merc 5 0 and i hooked up the battery backwards to lower the out drive. I read what you wrote. I quickly removed the battery and let the alt cool off. This fuse is designed to blow on polarity reversal and it will blow every single time a battery or battery charger is hooked up backwards in order to prevent electrical damage to the engines harness.
